By now,
it's probably safe to say that a white tee is a wardrobe staple piece. It never
goes out of style. It is classic and chic….in my opinion. Plus white tees are
affordable. Actually all are super affordable and I don’t see the need to go
for expensive ones ;-)
The
simplicity that a plain white tee brings along is what makes me fall hard in
love with it. The fact that I am able to do lots of accessories with it. The
fact that you can over clutter your silhouette and you will still be
complimented on the same.
The how
to’s of a plain white tee:
Firstly
have a fitting plain white tee. Make sure your plain white tee is not oversize.
Then, any
color of jeans look amazing with a plain white tee. However I prefer black or
blue jeans. Shorts, mini skirts, harem pants, boyfriend jeans, distressed jeans
name it, all work well with a plain white tee.
Accessorize!
Accessorize! And accessorize!!Being plain and white is a chance to accessorize
this plain white tee and not look ridiculous. Those pearl necklaces, those
chunky chandelier earrings go well with a plain white tee. The big bangles.
Colored bangles. Pretty belts. Secret: Just dazzle it up. However make sure
there is a connection in your accessories and the general attire.
You can
tuck in your white tee in a black high-waist skirt and still look great. On
that black high-waist skirt that you have tucked in the white tee, you can
still hook on your cute suspenders. And If you have a non-fitting white tee, as
in just a little bigger than a fitting size, belt up to have that trendy
chic’ish look.
White tees
also look amazing when paired up with cute bright scarves. They compliment each
other quite well whichever the color of the scarf. For shoes, trust me on
this….any color and type of shoe will go well with a plain white tee, all that
matters is that bottom you are wearing with your white tee.
My
greatest don’t with a white tee is wearing it under a sleeveless dress. I find
it so hideous and so yesterday. Besides I find it weird wearing a white tee
under a tank top. A no!no! for me. Anyway it is just my tried and tested
opinion.
